§ 41-36-1. Short title. This chapter may be cited as the
Uniform Determination of Death Law. Sources: Laws, 1981, ch. 410, § 1,

§ 41-36-3. Determination of death. An individual who has
sustained either (a) irreversible cessation of circulatory and respiratory
functions or (b) irreversible cessation of all functions of the entire
brain, including the brain stem, is dead. A determination of death must
be made in accordance with accepted medical standards. Sources: Laws,
